Active Navigation Releases V3.4 of its Application Server
London 3rd August, 2005 - Active Navigation, a leading provider of information management software solutions, today announced the launch of the latest version (V3.4) of its market-leading Application Server.
The Application Server is a key component of Active Navigation's suite of innovative software solutions that allow organisations to intelligently manage large quantities of unstructured content and V3.4 includes a number of important enhancements. The most important feature is the provision of new taxonomy analysis tools that assist document authors in assessing the effectiveness of particular taxonomies. V3.4 also includes the introduction of Boolean search that will sit alongside Active Navigation's existing 'Progressive Search' facility, together with a number of minor fixes and upgrades.
"One challenge when developing a taxonomy is determining whether the rules that define the taxonomy successfully classify all relevant content - either when automating the tagging of content, or when users navigate through the taxonomy hierarchy" said Gary Hill, Senior Developer, Active Navigation.
