John Huang joins Active Navigation
London 3 June 2005 – Active Navigation, a leading provider of information management software solutions, has announced the appointment of John Huang as US Operations Executive, effective June 2005. Huang will be responsible for growing and managing Active Navigation’s business in North America and his duties will include marketing, sales and account management, as well as partner relationships. Huang and will be based in Reston, Virginia.
Huang joins Active Navigation from Apex Systems, a consulting firm specialising in guiding early stage companies through rapid growth to profitable operations, where he held the position of President. Huang has also held senior positions on a number of high-profile technology and e-commerce projects and initiatives for the US government and he has served in executive roles at EDS, Sytel, Mercury Communications, Tick Data and several early-stage technology companies in the Washington DC area.
Commenting on Huang’s appointment, Peter Baumann, CEO, Active Navigation said, “we are delighted that John has joined Active Navigation. Although we already have an established customer-base in North America, by leveraging John’s extensive and highly relevant experience within both the private and public sectors, we believe that we will be able to rapidly build our presence in what is a strategically very important market for Active Navigation.
