Peter Baumann

Active Navigation is led by Peter Baumann as Chief Executive Officer. Peter is a successful entrepreneur whose past experience includes building Standard & Poors’ Financial Information Services European Operation. He also oversaw the company’s fastest growth period and switch to internet based delivery services. Previously, Peter launched Bureau Van Dijk’s CDROM start-up in the UK. He also led the UK and US expansion of Wide Multimedia and founded sales and marketing consultancy, Inceptio Communications.

Rich Hale

Rich is our Chief Technology Officer and an information and knowledge management specialist. An engineer by background, Rich served a full career with the Royal Air Force, where his responsibilities included being the architect, evangelist and driving force behind the Royal Air Force’s global information management and governance program. In the process, Rich gained critical first-hand experience in enterprise SharePoint and records management adoption, deployment and governance.

Gary Hill

Gary is our Head of Development and has been at the center of Active Navigation since its inception. Gary brings the intellect, expertise and technological insight that drive all aspects of our software solutions. Determined to resolve the complex issues that spawn from managing electronic information in the workplace, he and the development team make it possible for our clients to take control of their unstructured information.

David Dawson

David is our Financial Director. He qualified at Coopers & Lybrand and has extensive experience at board level in the food manufacturing, retail and IT sectors with United Biscuits, Grand Met, Courtaulds Textiles and Actinic. While working at Actinic, David helped the company grow to become the leading UK supplier of packaged e-commerce software. During his tenure, Actinic raised capital from a business angel, a VC, and by listing on the London Stock Exchange.
